We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to join a sophisticated litigation practice in Atlanta. Working under the supervision of attorneys, this position will support all phases of complex litigation, from initial case evaluation and discovery through depositions, trial preparation, post-trial matters, and appeals.
The ideal candidate is an experienced litigation professional who can work independently, manage multiple priorities, solve problems proactively, and take ownership of complex case-management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
Case Assessment & Litigation Support
- Assist attorneys with the initial review and evaluation of cases.
- Prepare case chronologies, cast-of-characters documents, answers, pleadings, and other litigation materials.
- Coordinate the intake, organization, and review of client documents.
- Maintain accurate and organized case files throughout the life of each matter.
Discovery
- Coordinate all aspects of written and documentary discovery.
- Draft discovery requests and responses for attorney review.
- Coordinate document collection, production, and review.
- Work directly with clients to obtain relevant documents and information.
- Review discovery responses for completeness and sufficiency.
Depositions
- Coordinate and schedule lay and expert depositions.
- Prepare deposition outlines and identify potential exhibits for attorney review.
- Gather and organize relevant materials for expert review.
- Attend depositions and prepare transcript summaries.
- Prepare and serve subpoenas.
- Coordinate court reporters, videographers, and related deposition logistics.
- Coordinate the development and maintenance of litigation-support databases.
- Work with internal teams and outside litigation-support vendors on document imaging and database projects.
- Utilize litigation technology to organize, search, review, and retrieve case materials.
- Perform deposition summaries, word searches, document organization, and database linking using litigation-support systems.
Investigation & Legal Research
- Assist with factual investigations and witness research.
- Coordinate with investigators and conduct witness searches.
- Interview clients, employees, and third-party witnesses as needed.
- Conduct public-record searches.
- Review and summarize employment, medical, and other relevant records.
- Perform basic legal and medical research using online research tools and other resources.
- Assist with cite-checking and Shepardizing.
Trial Preparation
- Coordinate preparation of trial binders and exhibits.
- Assist with demonstrative exhibits and trial presentation materials.
- Coordinate trial equipment, technology, and offsite facilities.
- Assist with motions in limine, jury instructions, witness lists, and exhibit lists.
- Assist with preparation of direct and cross-examination materials.
- Support attorneys during jury selection and trial.
- Operate trial-preservation and litigation-support software.
Post-Trial & Appeals
- Assist with post-trial matters, including jury polling and memoranda of costs.
- Support preparation and cite-checking of post-trial motions and appellate briefs.
- Assist with organizing and assembling appellate records and excerpts.
Qualifications
- 6 - 10+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Strong understanding of litigation procedures and the full litigation lifecycle.
- Bachelor's degree, relevant education, or an accredited paralegal certificate preferred.
- Experience coordinating the work of case clerks, paralegals, or other litigation-support professionals is a plus.
- Experience with complex, class-action, or document-intensive litigation is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Georgia state and federal courts preferred.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with Relativity, LiveNote, and other litigation-support/document-management systems preferred.
- Strong online legal research skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with attorneys, clients, staff, vendors, and other stakeholders while maintaining confidentiality.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to work additional or irregular hours when required by litigation deadlines or trial schedules.
