Job summary

BakerHostetler is seeking a Litigation Paralegal for their Atlanta office. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of litigation support experience and will assist attorneys through all phases of litigation, handle pleadings and discovery, and manage large case files with attention to deadlines.

This non-exempt role requires a strong grasp of court procedures, e-filing, and litigation software, plus excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm.
• Experience supporting complex commercial, labor and employment, healthcare, or similar litigation matters.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal court procedures and e-filing systems.
• High proficiency in grammar, proofreading, and legal document preparation.
• Ability to manage multiple matters with deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys through all phases of litigation from inception to post-trial.
• Draft, revise, and file pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and related documents.
• Manage and maintain case files and exhibits.
• Coordinate filings in state and federal courts and meet deadlines.
• Prepare deposition summaries, chronologies, and trial notebooks.
• Support discovery, including document production and organizing discovery materials.
• Conduct factual investigations and legal research.
• Coordinate with clients, witnesses, court personnel, experts, and opposing counsel.
• Monitor deadlines and attorney calendars; support ADR proceedings.
