Job summary

Raymond James is seeking an accomplished attorney to oversee complex litigation across assigned practice areas. Under general direction with autonomy, you will manage cases involving collections, trusts and estates, and disputes in federal/state courts, potentially directing outside counsel.

The role requires Juris Doctor with 8+ years of progressive litigation experience, strong strategic and leadership abilities, and the ability to collaborate with senior management.

Qualifications

• JD required with excellent academic credentials and at least eight years of progressively responsible litigation experience.
• Extensive knowledge of laws, regulations, and policy applicable to litigation.
• Ability to lead projects and manage outside counsel.
• Strong client communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the implementation of the organization's litigation strategy and methods ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and cost-conscious processing.
• Manage the provision of a significant legal service specialty.
• Manage and report on the performance of a substantial, diverse team; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports or project/account team members and hold individuals accountable for achieving them; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of team/personal objectives.
• Communicate the actions needed to implement the function's strategy and business plan within the team; explain the relationship to the broader organization's mission, vision, and values; motivate people to commit to these and to do extraordinary things to achieve local business goals
