Job summary

Jobot in Austin seeks a seasoned Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will represent clients in a wide range of civil and commercial matters from inception through resolution, including trial, arbitration, and settlement negotiations.

The role requires a JD, bar admission, and at least 5 years of litigation experience with exceptional writing and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school
• Admission to the state bar in good standing
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation attorney with a proven track record
• Exceptional legal writing and analysis skills with ability to articulate complex issues clearly
• Strong litigation experience including trial, arbitration, and settlement negotiations
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to maintain positive client relationships and work collaboratively
• Proficiency in legal research tools and software
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and meet deadlines with high ethical standards

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in a wide range of civil and commercial litigation matters
• Conduct thorough legal research and fact investigation to identify potential claims and defenses
• Draft, review, and revise pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and responses
• Present oral arguments in court hearings and cross-examine witnesses
• Develop case strategy in collaboration with team members and clients
• Negotiate settlements to resolve disputes favorably and efficiently
• Maintain professional relationships with clients and provide regular case updates
• Stay abreast of current legal developments and changes in law affecting cases
