Jobot is seeking a junior Litigation Associate for our Austin, TX office. The role offers high-level civil litigation exposure, handling case analysis, discovery, motions, and trial preparation as part of a dynamic legal team.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Texas State Bar.
• Proven track record of managing a diverse caseload.
• Exceptional research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• High level of professionalism and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of civil litigation from inception to resolution, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, preparing and arguing motions, and managing trials.
• Collaborate with other attorneys to develop legal strategies and facilitate the resolution of legal disputes.
• Prepare legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, appeals, agreements, contracts, and legal memoranda.
• Conduct extensive legal research to support case preparation and legal proceedings.
• Represent clients in court and before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in civil litigation.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in an attempt to resolve cases early.
• Maintain a high standard of professionalism and ethical conduct in all interactions.
• Stay updated on current legislation and legal changes that might affect the firm's clients.
• Work closely with our team of attorneys to develop strategies and facilitate resolutions.
