Job summary

Ghidotti | Berger LLP is seeking a seasoned Senior Litigation Attorney to manage a caseload of contested foreclosure matters with strong courtroom advocacy. This Full-Time, Hybrid role requires mentoring junior attorneys and coordinating across departments in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidate has a JD, Florida license, and 7+ years of litigation experience, including foreclosure or creditors' rights, with 5+ years of trial experience.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice in Florida in good standing.
• 7+ years of litigation experience (preferably in foreclosure, creditors' rights, or real estate).
• 5+ years of trial and courtroom experience required.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of foreclosure litigation, including contested hearings, trials, mediation, and motion practice.
• Supervise junior attorneys or paralegals and train/mentor as needed.
• Develop case strategy and manage cases from inception through resolution.
• Draft, review, and argue legal pleadings, motions, and memoranda.
• Represent clients in state and federal court proceedings.
• Attend and conduct trials, depositions, mediations, and hearings.
• Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions, mediations, and trial testimony.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure legal accuracy, compliance, and documentation integrity.
• Maintain clear communication with clients and stakeholders on case progress and outcomes.
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting foreclosure and creditors’ rights practice.

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior Litigation Attorney, who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, enjoys mentoring junior attorneys, and takes pride in delivering high-quality legal work for institutional clients. This is a Full-Time, Hybrid opportunity, where the selected candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of contested foreclosure matters and related litigation, with a strong focus on courtroom advocacy and strategy. This role requires excellent courtroom presence, trial skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.

Requirements

Job Requirements / Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Florida
• 7+ years of litigation experience (preferably in foreclosure, creditors' rights, or R.E.)
• 5+ years of trial and courtroom experience required.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to handle a high-volume caseload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience managing contested foreclosure matters and related litigation preferred.
