Core Specialty Insurance Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced claims professional to manage Commercial Garage and General Liability claims from receipt through resolution or trial. The role requires an adjusting license, 5+ years of relevant experience, and the ability to travel as needed.

You will analyze coverage, coordinate with defense and coverage counsel, and communicate with underwriting and management on risk, reserves, and settlement strategies. A hybrid work setup is offered.

Qualifications

• Insurance adjusters license required.
• College degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum five+ years’ experience handling Commercial Garage and/or General Liability claims.
• Ability to travel.
• Ability to negotiate and be persuasive.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Strong time-management skills; some tasks time sensitive.
• Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; no sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsabilités

• Provide early contact with insured to identify witnesses, employees, contracts, and documents; obtain knowledge of alleged claims.
• Analyse coverage for application to claim and prepare coverage position letters.
• Confer with coverage counsel to clarify coverage position and litigation.
• Communicate with underwriting for risk potential and policy language.
• Maintain diaries for file tasks, settlements, mediations, and trial.
• Oversee defense counsel from initial assignment through litigation to ensure timely reporting and strategy.
• Collaborate with defense counsel to develop early litigation or settlement strategy.
• Prepare internal reports for file documentation and reserve increases for management review.
• Prepare settlement drafts and review releases for accuracy.
• This role may require occasional travel.
