Job summary

AV is seeking a Senior Linux Systems Administrator to design, deploy, secure, automate, and maintain enterprise Linux infrastructure across on‑prem and multi‑cloud environments.

The role requires expert knowledge of Oracle Linux, RHEL, and Ubuntu, plus Canonical Landscape and IaC tools. You will harden systems to NIST/CMMC standards, implement MFA, and support engineering pipelines with automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience.
• 8–12 years IT infrastructure experience with 6+ years Linux systems administration.
• Deep admin experience with Oracle Linux, RHEL and Ubuntu.
• Experience with Canonical Landscape, Red Hat Satellite, or Foreman.
• Strong MFA/PAM, SSSD/FreeIPA, AD/LDAP integration experience.
• Proficient with IaC and automation (Ansible, Bash, Python).

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise Linux servers on‑prem and cloud.
• Manage Canonical Landscape to handle hundreds of Ubuntu desktops.
• Implement secure MFA, PAM, and centralized sudo control.
• Hardening to NIST SP 800‑171/CIS and compliance tooling.
• Develop IaC baselines with Ansible, Terraform, Puppet/Chef.
• Operate VMware ESXi/vCenter and storage for Linux guests.
• Provide Tier 3 engineering escalation and support.
