Job summary

HeadHR is seeking an experienced Linux Systems Engineer to design, build, and support Linux-based infrastructure for a large-scale migration and modernization program. You will install and optimize RHEL/Oracle Linux, deploy middleware platforms such as JBoss/WildFly, Apache, Tomcat and Spring Boot, and automate provisioning with Ansible and Rundeck.

Work involves ensuring security, high availability and operational stability across production and non-production environments.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience administering enterprise Linux environments (RHEL/Oracle Linux).
• Strong Linux performance tuning, troubleshooting and security practices.
• Hands-on experience with middleware/web platforms such as JBoss, WildFly, Apache HTTP Server, Tomcat or Spring Boot.
• Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management using Ansible, Rundeck or similar tools.
• Proficiency in Bash scripting and/or Python for automation.
• Good networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, TLS).
• Familiarity with PKI and certificates in enterprise contexts.
• Experience supporting high-availability, production systems and large migrations.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and support Linux-based infrastructure for migration and modernization programs.
• Install, configure and optimize RHEL/Oracle Linux environments.
• Deploy and maintain middleware platforms (JBoss, WildFly, Apache, Tomcat, Spring Boot).
• Automate provisioning and configuration using Ansible and Rundeck.
• Ensure security, performance and operational stability across prod and non-prod.
• Monitor health, investigate bottlenecks and resolve incidents.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across migration lifecycle.
• Support environment builds, changes, testing and cutovers.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Develop and maintain technical docs and standards.
• Identify opportunities to automate and improve efficiency.
