Job summary

Kavaliro seeks an experienced Senior Systems Administrator (Linux) in Orlando, FL to support enterprise Linux environments and drive stability across the infra stack.

Ideal candidate has strong RHEL/Ubuntu background, VMware, Veeam backups, SAN/NAS storage, and hands-on automation with Ansible, Python, and Bash. Collaboration with DevOps, Networking, Security, and Development is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Linux Systems Administration experience.
• Strong experience with RHEL and Ubuntu environments.
• Hands-on with automation tools such as Ansible.
• Proficient in Python and Bash scripting.
• Experience with VMware administration.
• Experience with enterprise backup solutions (Veeam).
• Experience administering Jira and Confluence.
• Experience with GitLab/Subversion and related tools.
• Experience with SAN/NAS storage solutions.
• Able to work independently and in a team with strong documentation.
• On-call readiness and willingness for after-hours support.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and support Linux-based infrastructure (RHEL/Ubuntu).
• Troubleshoot complex system, application, and infrastructure issues.
• Monitor system performance and identify optimization opportunities.
• Develop and implement automation using Python, Bash, Ansible.
• Administer VMware virtualized environments.
• Manage SAN/NAS storage and backups using Veeam.
• Administer Jira and Confluence and manage source control (GitLab/Subversion).
• Patch systems, remediate vulnerabilities, and ensure security compliance.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and runbooks.
• Contribute to infra projects, upgrades, migrations, and new tech implementations.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Networking, Security, and Development teams.
• Provide 24/7 production support on a rotating on-call schedule.
