Zusammenfassung

Vultr is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to design, administer, and optimize Linux-based infrastructure worldwide. You will ensure secure, reliable environments, support upgrades, and enable platform expansion while collaborating with engineers, operations, and data center teams.

You will apply advanced Linux expertise to non-routine challenges and help scale Vultr’s infrastructure in a high-growth cloud environment.

Qualifikationen

• Strong proficiency administering Linux systems (CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu).
• Experience applying systems-level troubleshooting and analysis to resolve non-routine technical issues.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or similar.
• Experience with virtualization, networking, or software development is a plus.
• Hands-on experience configuring and supporting web servers, databases, caching solutions, and firewalls.
• Understanding of Linux utilities, server/app architecture, security hardening, distributed storage (Ceph), virtualization, load balancing, and core networking.

• Administer and maintain Linux servers and services; diagnose performance, stability, or security issues.
• Act as technical escalation point for Linux-related issues and remediation.

• Monitor performance and security; maintain compliance with standards.
• Develop automation, scripts, and tooling to improve efficiency.
