Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Systems Administrator – Level 2/3 for the Buckley Space Force Base site in Aurora, CO. Responsibilities include Linux system administration on large, classified contracts and coordinating with networks, software, and system engineers to ensure reliable operations.

The role requires DoD TS/SCI clearance or higher, a relevant degree with years of related experience, and the ability to work in sensitive environments.

Qualifications

• DoD 8570 IAT Level II baseline certification required or able to obtain within 6 months of start date.
• U.S. citizenship and active DoD clearance (TS/SCI) at time of application.
• At least 1 year of server administration experience with RHEL.
• Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform as a Linux Systems Administrator on large, classified government contracts.
• Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems and coordinate with engineers and IT teams.
• Support multiple networks and manage user accounts, permissions, and security logs.
• Analyze requirements and determine hardware/software needs for solutions.
• Develop and document technical processes; implement system enhancements and patching.
• Interact with vendors, evaluate products, and oversee security-related tasks.
