Job summary

Raytheon Marlborough, MA seeks a Principal Linux System Administrator (Onsite) to support Windows and Linux environments in a DoD classified setting. You will design, implement and maintain secure, cost-efficient IT infrastructure across classified programs.

Requires DoD Secret interim clearance, US citizenship, 100% onsite, up to 15% travel to RTX locations in MA, RI, NH. Salary range 86,800–165,200 USD; RTX offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain Interim U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Experience with administering and securing Linux servers.
• Experience with VMware virtualization.
• Experience with securing system configurations, system hardening. Experience with PowerShell scripting.

Responsibilities

• Support Windows and Linux enterprise environments including design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• Patch, vulnerability remediation, and compliance activities with DoD requirements.
• Design, deploy, and maintain VMware ESXi/vCenter infrastructure.
• Automate deployment with MECM/SCCM, PXE, and Windows imaging.
• Operate in a fully onsite DoD closed-area with occasional after-hours support.
