Keeper Security, Inc. is seeking a Senior Linux Systems Engineer to join the Privileged Access Management (PAM) team. The role focuses on endpoint privilege management, secure execution, and Linux security boundaries, working across Rust, C PAM modules and .NET services on Linux.

The position is 100% remote with a potential hybrid option for candidates in the Chicago, IL or El Dorado Hills, CA metro areas. You will influence privileged process authorization and secure failure behavior near the

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software or systems engineering experience with Linux.
• Deep understanding of Linux process and security concepts.
• Strong C programming experience on native Linux development and memory management.
• Experience developing or integrating with Linux PAM and PAM configuration.
• Strong Rust experience including ownership, concurrency and async development.
• Working proficiency with C# and .NET in Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Linux endpoint privilege management capabilities across Rust, C and .NET components.
• Build and enhance kernel-facing agent functionality using Linux interfaces and process identity.
• Develop and maintain native PAM modules and Linux privilege-elevation workflows.
• Build long-running privileged Linux services using Rust, Tokio, MQTT, TLS and async programming patterns.
• Develop Linux-specific orchestration and session-management capabilities in .NET 8, including session monitoring.
• Diagnose complex Linux execution and security issues involving permissions, SELinux, AppArmor and system service behavior.
