Job summary

SiFive is seeking an experienced Linux kernel software architect to push the RISC-V platform for high-core-count server systems. You will collaborate with upstream communities, debug complex CPU/SoC issues, and work with hardware and validation teams on SiFive designs running in emulation.

Ideal candidates have a track record in patch development, virtualization, and FPGA/emulation work, and familiarity with the RISC-V ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Experience writing and reviewing patches for the public Linux kernel mailing lists.
• Proven ability to debug complex software/hardware issues in CPUs/SoCs.
• Experience with FPGA and emulation platforms.
• Familiarity with the RISC-V architecture.
• Experience with virtualization and hypervisors.

Responsibilities

• Improve and debug the RISC-V Linux kernel for high-core-count servers.
• Collaborate with upstream Linux/OpenSBI communities, posting and reviewing patches.
• Work with hardware architects to optimize core and system designs.
• Coordinate with system software and validation teams during emulation runs.
