Job summary

SiFive is seeking an experienced Linux kernel software architect to improve and debug the RISC-V Linux kernel, with emphasis on high core count server systems. You will patch upstream, collaborate with OpenSBI and Linux communities while working with system software teams.

You will work with CPU architects, RTL engineers and emulation platforms, including FPGA, to advance core and system designs. The role requires strong debugging skills, familiarity with RISC-V, hypervisors, and a track record

Qualifications

• Experience in concurrency-sensitive Linux kernel code.
• Proven ability to patch and review in public mailing lists.
• Experience debugging CPU/SoC software and hardware bugs.
• Collaboration with CPU architects and RTL engineers.
• Experience Linux on FPGA and emulation.

Responsibilities

• Improve and debug the RISC-V Linux kernel with a focus on high-core-count servers.
• Interact with upstream Linux and OpenSBI communities, patching and reviewing.
• Collaborate with system software teams and hardware engineers on SiFive designs.
• Work with CPU architects and RTL engineers to improve core and system designs.
