Job summary

SiFive in the United States is seeking an experienced Linux kernel software architect to advance our RISC-V platform. You’ll improve and debug the RISC-V Linux kernel for high core count server systems, collaborating with our system software and validation teams.

You’ll engage with upstream Linux and OpenSBI communities, post and review patches, and tackle bugs on CPUs and SoCs, while partnering with hardware architects to refine core designs.

Qualifications

• Experience with concurrency-sensitive code in the upstream Linux kernel.
• Experience debugging software and hardware bugs in CPUs/SoCs.
• Experience with Linux on FPGA or emulation platforms.
• Familiarity with the RISC-V architecture.

Responsibilities

• Improve and debug the RISC-V Linux kernel, focusing on high core count servers.
• Interact with upstream Linux and OpenSBI communities; post and review patches.
• Debug challenging problems in system software and validation on SiFive designs.
• Collaborate with hardware architects to refine core and system designs.
