Job summary

Insight Global seeks an experienced IT Engineer to lead Linux endpoint management across a large enterprise, including laptops, desktops, and VDI. You will centralize management, enforce security, standardize tooling, patching, and reliability while collaborating with Security, IT Operations, and Developer Productivity teams.

The role emphasizes automation with Python/Bash, Puppet deployment, FleetDM, and API-driven integrations to mature Linux management capabilities and drive security posture

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing Linux environments.
• Hands-on experience with Puppet configuration management.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.
• Experience managing Linux laptops/desktops/VDI environments.
• Experience implementing CIS/NIST security benchmarks.

Responsibilities

• Lead Linux endpoint management across enterprise laptops, desktops, and VDI environments.
• Deploy and maintain Puppet-based configuration management solutions.
• Implement and maintain FleetDM and endpoint management tooling.
• Standardize Linux device configurations, software deployment, and patch management.
• Develop automation using Python and Bash.
• Integrate systems and automate workflows using APIs.
• Monitor fleet health and develop operational metrics and reporting.
• Mentor team members and provide technical guidance.
