Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Linux Server Engineer to support Ecolab’s Global Linux Server Platform. The role focuses on maintaining ~500 Linux servers across on-prem and cloud environments, with DR automation via Ansible.

The candidate will need strong Ansible, Linux/UNIX expertise, and Bash/Python scripting, plus Azure cloud experience (AWS/GCP a plus). Certifications like RHCSA/RHCE and LFCS/LFCE are valued.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in IT with Linux/UNIX (SLES and RHEL; AIX a plus).
• Strong Ansible skills (non-negotiable).
• Bash and Python scripting experience.
• Production cloud experience, primarily Azure; AWS/GCP a plus.
• Disaster Recovery automation experience.
• Certs: RHCSA/RHCE, SUSE, LFCS/LFCE, VCP, Azure/AWS.

Responsibilities

• Operate the fleet: Support and troubleshoot ~500 Linux servers (on-prem and cloud); handle break/fix in the team queue.
• Build & maintain Ansible playbooks supporting Ecolab's DR process.
• Green-team collaboration: Partner with the security green team and cross-functional teams to automate and shorten the patch/vulnerability cycle.
