Job summary

Meta is seeking an experienced Security Engineer to join the LINCS team within the IDC organization. You will help manage risk across data centers, edge, backbone, subsea, and supply chain by implementing robust physical and logical security controls and ensuring compliance with Meta policies and regulatory requirements.

The role emphasizes security program ownership, collaboration across security domains, and driving modernization of security practices in a rapidly scaling infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience required.
• 7+ years in network/environment security with ownership of security programs.
• Experience across network, physical, and cyber security domains.
• Experience in large-scale and mission-critical infrastructure security.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network segmentation.
• Understanding of secure network architectures for large-scale infra.

Responsibilities

• Manage security risk across logical and physical security domains.
• Assess risk and communicate threats to inform decisions and strategy.
• Own security programs across LINCS facilities, leased, cloud, edge, and subsea.
• Run access management including quarterly reviews and automation.
• Assess and report on effectiveness of security controls.
• Engineer security solutions across network, physical, and cyber domains.
• Develop and operationalize security guidance and playbooks.
• Integrate security throughout the data center lifecycle.
