Job summary

Meta is seeking an experienced Security Engineer to join the LINCS team within IDC, focusing on security for Meta's global infrastructure spanning data centers, edge, backbone, subsea, and supply chain.

The role emphasizes managing risk across physical and logical security, implementing security programs, and building new capabilities for leased and cloud environments, with an emphasis on scalable security controls and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical field.
• 7+ years of experience in network, infrastructure, or telecommunications security with ownership of security programs in large-scale networks.
• Experience across multiple security domains (network, physical, logical/cyber).
• Experience establishing, scaling, and maturing security projects and programs.
• Experience supporting security for large-scale infrastructure and operations.
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, segmentation, and protocol analysis.
• Basic understanding of secure network architectures for large-scale infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Manage risk across logical and physical security domains.
• Assess security risk and communicate threats and vulnerabilities to inform decisions.
• Own implementation and ongoing maintenance of security programs across LINCS infrastructure.
• Oversee access management, quarterly reviews, and automation; supervise SLA enforcement.
• Assess and report on effectiveness of security controls to inform strategy.
• Engineer security solutions across network, physical, and cyber domains.
• Develop and operationalize security guidance aligning policies with best practices and regulations.
• Integrate security solutions throughout the data center lifecycle from planning to decommissioning.
