Job summary

Public Service Electric & Gas Co in Secaucus, NJ seeks a Customer Support Consultant to engage with governmental and commercial lighting opportunities, driving revenue growth and resolving issues for satisfaction and compliance. The role involves meetings with decision makers, coordination across departments, and escalation management in a dynamic utility environment.

Hybrid work with three onsite days per week is required; strong knowledge of lighting products, SAP systems, and regulatory

Qualifications

• High School degree and minimum 5 years lighting experience.
• Proven customer relationship experience.
• Knowledge of utility electric overhead, underground and outdoor lighting infrastructure.
• Proficient in Outlook, MS Office, Excel, Access, and Word.
• Electric and gas technical knowledge.
• NJ driver's license required.
• BA/BS in business.
• Understanding of PSE&G tariffs with lighting product experience.
• Knowledge of SAP CRM, SAP BW, SAP DWMS and GIS.

Responsibilities

• Handle lighting requests for new and upgrade lighting jobs; coordinate meetings with customers; review lighting products to best meet customer needs; conduct financial review and analysis on existing and proposed lighting products; provide guidance and recommendations for lighting layout.
• Project Management/Coordination - Ensuring customer projects are delivered on time by coordinating with various departments; schedule status meetings; coordinate with manufacturers; engage procurement, schedulers, construction inquiries, and project coordinators.
• Handle lighting issues for outages and billing on customer accounts; act as bridge between internal and external customers; coordinate with internal departments to expedite maintenance issues; review lighting disparities on accounts.
• Manage customer relationships and resolve escalated inquiries; respond to BPU, executive or escalated issues; de-escalate customer issues.
• Compliance with the Department of Energy’s regulation 10 CFR 810 is required.
