Job summary

Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions, part of the Spirax Group, seeks a Senior Technical Specialist for Life Sciences to lead complex projects and deliver world-class technical support in the USA, reporting to the VP of Life Sciences. You will coordinate with sales and operations to meet customer needs and drive product specifications and customization capabilities.

The role requires deep Life Sciences knowledge, strong leadership, and ability to influence customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of key customers and processes within the Life Sciences sector.
• Significant commercial management and sales experience including Key Account or Large Customer management.
• Contract reviews/negotiation experience and awareness of contractual principles and risks.
• Proven ability to lead, grow and develop high performance teams.
• Cultural and regional awareness with ability to work across countries and cultures.

Responsibilities

• Large Project Technical Lead: primary technical contact and deliverables for local and global projects.
• Technical Expertise: become the company expert on trends, compliance, and product capabilities to assist the sales team.
• Innovation and Improvement: identify gaps and coordinate with WMFTS factories for customization and testing.
• Training and Support: conduct regular training sessions and field support for customers and colleagues.
• Strategic Planning: develop annual plans for delivering engineering solutions with available resources.
• Relationship Building: build and maintain contacts with key industry players and customers.
• Risk Management: identify and mitigate risks to ensure business continuity.
• Networking: attend or present at conferences to expand reach.
• Health & Safety: maintain safe working environment and promote safety improvements.
