Overview

Join Watson‑Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions, part of the Spirax Group, to drive growth in the biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, and medical device markets. This hybrid role focuses on the Western US and Midwest territories, with 30–40% field travel and support from the Irvine, CA office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new customers from leads and manage key accounts to grow sales.
  • Respond to leads and sell WMFTG products for inclusion in OEM fluid path and equipment projects.
  • Quote and negotiate pricing and business agreements.
  • Act as liaison between factory and customers for custom-engineered products.
  • Communicate the value proposition of WMFTG brands to Biopharma, Pharma, and Medical Device markets.
  • Monitor multi-year project pipeline from design phase through production.
  • Ensure timely follow-up and resolution of technical, pricing, delivery, or quality issues.
  • Lead customer experience management, working closely with support teams.
Collaborators
  • OEM customers and prospects in the biopharmaceutical sector.
  • Internal teams including engineering, factory operations, and customer support.
  • National Sales Manager for strategy alignment.
  • Cross-functional colleagues to ensure customer satisfaction and WMFTG brand loyalty.
Required Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years related experience.
  • Experience in Life Sciences, particularly Biopharmaceutical or Medical Device.
  • Proven track record of consultative sales of premium products.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and multi-year pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Engineering or Biological Sciences degree.
  • Experience selling single-use products or related consumables in biopharma.
  • Knowledge of process engineering, electro-mechanical design, and regulatory systems.
  • Familiarity with electro-mechanical components (pumps, valves, motors).
  • Understanding of supply chain and production planning.
Physical Demands

This remote position requires sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods, with occasional standing. Ability to use a computer keyboard and mouse. Basic hand dexterity for typing and computer peripherals is required. Reasonable accommodations will be provided for disabilities.

Compensation

Base salary range: $115,172 – $165,000. Final offer depends on experience, education, location, and other factors.
