Job summary

Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions, part of Spirax Group, seeks a Senior Technical Specialist for Life Sciences to lead technical support for major USA projects. This remote role reports to Life Sciences leadership and collaborates with sales and operations to deliver exceptional customer solutions.

You will stay current on product capabilities, regulation, and service delivery, training teams, and driving innovations with WMFTS engineering resources while ensuring compliance and quality.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of Life Sciences sector including industry dynamics.
• Experience managing large accounts or regional/global customers.
• Strong negotiation and contract review skills.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performance teams.
• Ability to align cross-functional teams and customers.

Responsibilities

• Large Project Technical Lead: act as primary technical contact for local/global large projects; coordinate documentation and expectations to ensure on-time delivery.
• Technical Expertise: be the recognised expert on trends, compliance, product capabilities to guide sales positioning.
• Innovation and Improvement: identify gaps, implement best practices, support customization/testing and new product initiatives.
• Training and Support: run regular training with sales/ops/customers; onsite and certified training.
• Strategic Planning: help develop annual plans for delivering engineering solutions; manage expectations of stakeholders.
• Relationship Building: build relationships with industry contacts and align resources to deliver solutions.
• Risk Management: identify and mitigate risks; ensure business continuity.
• Networking: attend/present at events to network and find opportunities.
• Health & Safety: ensure safe working environment and improve safety performance.
• Governance: comply with Spirax Group policies and procedures.
