Responsibilities

• Manages an inventory of highly complex commercial claims with large exposures following company protocols to verify policy coverage, investigations, develop resolution strategies, and authorize disbursements within authority limits.
• Ensures exceptional customer service by managing all aspects of the claim and updating insureds, claimants and partners.
• Verifies coverage and establishes reserves by reviewing policy language and partnering with coverage counsel on complex matters.
• Leads investigations to determine compensability, damages and liability by gathering documents and statements.
• Resolves claims by developing a resolution strategy and negotiating settlements within authority.
• Establishes and manages claim budgets by timely resolution and resource oversight.
• Mentors and trains less experienced Claim Professionals.
