Job summary

Renovo Solutions is seeking a Life Science Engineer, Lead to provide senior technical leadership on a Johnson & Johnson site under ELIS. This role handles a full service caseload, enforces quality and safety standards, and acts as the site’s technical authority.

You will calibrate, maintain, diagnose, and repair instruments, while guiding engineers and coordinating with vendors to ensure uptime and compliance. Strong CMMS and GxP experience are required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on service experience on laboratory or analytical instrumentation.
• Depth on multiple instrument platforms (chromatography, mass spectrometry, spectroscopy, etc.).
• Ability to diagnose faults beyond manufacturer service manuals.
• Experience as a technical reference point for other engineers.
• Working knowledge of GxP requirements, calibration traceability and data integrity.
• Experience with CMMS and working inside a client facility as an embedded provider is preferred.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology or research environments is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibration, maintenance, diagnostics and repair across the site asset base.
• Lead site engineers and technicians, allocating technical work daily.
• Ensure instruments are returned to service meeting manufacturer specs.
• Provide technical input on repair vs. replace and capital replacement decisions.
• Maintain accurate technical records and asset configurations.
• Support audits, safety compliance and vendor coordination.
