Job summary

RENOVO Solutions is seeking a Life Science Engineer, Lead to serve as the senior technical authority at a Johnson & Johnson site under the ELIS program. You will manage a full service caseload, perform calibrations and repairs, and lead site engineers in delivering high-quality instrument support across multiple platforms.

The role requires 7+ years of hands-on service on laboratory instrumentation, deep instrument platform knowledge, and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

7+ years hands-on service experience on laboratory or analytical instrumentation.
Depth on multiple instrument platforms (chromatography, mass spectrometry, spectroscopy, plate-based detection, centrifugation, cell culture or lab automation).
Ability to diagnose faults beyond the manufacturer service manual.
Experience as a technical reference for other engineers.
Experience working inside a client facility as an embedded service provider preferred.
Knowledge of GxP requirements, calibration traceability and data integrity.
Experience with a CMMS.
Experience in pharmaceutical/biotech or research environments preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform calibration, scheduled maintenance, diagnostics and repair across the site instrument base.
Lead the technical work and allocate tasks to site engineers and technicians.
Develop and coach site staff on platform knowledge and documentation quality.
Ensure accurate calibration status and data in the system of record.
Escort and host OEM/third-party personnel in client laboratories as required.
