Job summary

Renovo Solutions is seeking a Life Science Engineer, Lead to serve as the senior technical resource at a Johnson & Johnson site under the Enterprise Laboratory Instrument Services (ELIS) program. The role carries a full service caseload and acts as the on-site technical authority; this is a working lead, not a manager.

You will perform calibration, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair across instrument platforms, supervise site engineers, and ensure safety, quality, and compliance

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on service experience on laboratory or analytical instrumentation or equivalent biomedical equipment service.
• Depth on multiple instrument platforms including chromatography, mass spectrometry, spectroscopy or related fields.
• Experience serving as a technical reference point for other engineers and working inside client facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibration, scheduled maintenance, diagnostics and repair across the site asset base.
• Carry a full service caseload alongside site lead responsibilities.
• Restore instruments to service and verify performance against manufacturer specifications.
• Provide technical input on repair versus replace and capital replacement candidates.
• Coach and develop site technical staff on platform knowledge and documentation quality.
• Ensure calibration status and traceability of test equipment; maintain accurate records.
