Bechtel Corporation in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Life Safety Commissioning Engineer to lead fire and life safety systems on large, critical projects. You will plan, coordinate, test, and commission systems including fire detection, suppression, gas monitoring, and emergency communications to meet codes and project specs.

You will work closely with engineering, construction, operations, vendors, and AHJs to ensure functional, safe, and compliant operation before turnover, with extensive on-site

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or international equivalent required for the role.
• 8–14 years of relevant experience in life safety, commissioning, or semiconductor facilities preferred.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and building life safety code requirements.

Responsabilités

• Lead commissioning activities for fire and life safety systems from construction through startup and handover.
• Develop commissioning plans, test procedures, and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, design teams, and AHJs to resolve deficiencies.
• Verify NFPA, IBC, IFC compliance and client requirements during testing.
• Oversee documentation, test records, and final turnover deliverables.
• Mentor and lead on-site commissioning teams and ensure safety and quality.
