Job summary

TSMC Arizona is seeking a Life Safety Systems Engineer to lead on-site construction and integration of fire protection and life safety systems at the Phoenix facility. You will oversee contractors, review drawings, and ensure compliance with codes and project standards while coordinating testing and commissioning activities.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering or construction management and 1–3 years of U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in fire protection engineering, mechanical engineering, or construction management.
• Minimum 1–3 years of U.S. experience in fire construction or related field.

Responsibilities

• On-site supervision and management of the construction and installation of life safety systems, ensuring compliance with design drawings, construction specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Coordinating and managing contractors to ensure construction progress, quality, and safety meet project requirements.
• Reviewing construction documents, shop drawings, and material submittals to ensure consistency with approved designs and specifications.
• Conducting periodic and ad-hoc on-site inspections to monitor construction quality, identify, and resolve potential issues or non-conformities.
• Responding to RFIs during construction and assisting in resolving technical issues on-site.
• Participating in and documenting meetings related to construction progress, quality, and safety, ensuring decisions and actions are tracked.
• Assisting with testing, commissioning, and final acceptance of life safety systems to meet design intent and operational needs.
