Job summary

The ideal applicant should have a Bachelor's in Engineering and substantial experience in AutoCAD. Responsibilities include designing fire detection and prevention systems, calculations, and coordination with architectural models. Ideal candidates may also have PE licensure and design management experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with the ability to attain PE licensure.
• At least 4 years of AutoCAD design experience.
• Experience estimating and scheduling mid-to-large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Design fire protection and life safety systems using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Interface directly with clients and state/local code officials.
• Provide calculations, equipment size, quantities and specifications.

Skills

AutoCAD design experience

Knowledge of fire alarm systems

Project estimating and scheduling

3D BIM software (Revit)

Knowledge of NFPA codes

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
