Akur8 in New York seeks a Senior Life Actuary to design, build, and maintain SLOPE life models across Life, Annuity, and Health products, delivering insights for prospects and clients. Qualifications

• Fully qualified actuary (ASA/FSA) or equivalent with 7+ years of experience across Life/Annuity products and GAAP/STAT.
• Hands-on experience with actuarial modeling platforms (Slope, Axis, ALFA, Prophet).
• Experience in Valuation, Product Pricing, and/or Asset/Liability Management.
• Fluent English in written and spoken communication.
• Ability to clearly articulate benefits and respond to objections in a sales context.
• Demonstrated rapid learning and adaptability.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and desire to grow with a fast-moving company.
• Excellent collaboration and team-work skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Be a client-facing subject matter expert providing model best practices, onboarding, issue resolution, and feedback for customers.
• Run product demos and proof of concept pilots for prospective clients to show platform value.
• Design, construct, and maintain Life models and reports across Life, Annuity, and Health products.
• Monitor local regulatory updates and translate to requirements for SLOPE models and reports.
• Contribute to Akur8’s actuarial thought leadership by attending conferences and presenting webinars.
• Recommend and help prioritize new platform features for the Life team to improve customer experience.
• Assist in other related areas of the business as necessary.
