Job summary
The Standard seeks a talented actuary with strong life pricing experience to join our voluntary benefits division. You will lead a high-performing team of actuaries and students, partner with product line leaders, and ensure profitability of the voluntary life products while serving as the illustration actuary with annual reporting responsibilities.
The role emphasizes collaboration, pricing strategy, and data analysis to support product development and financial outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, actuarial science, business, or related field.
- FSA designation required.
- Experience with life pricing and actuarial analysis.
- Strong pricing design and strategy background.
Responsibilities
- Direct and lead actuarial activities within defined areas of responsibility.
- Manage pricing for premium rates and fees for life products.
- Gather and analyze profitability, growth, and risk trends.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing and other functions on product design.
- Communicate findings and provide quantitative guidance to management.
