Job summary

Akur8, a fast-growing InsurTech, seeks a Pricing Actuary to shape modern pricing and reserving solutions from our New York office. You will translate complex actuarial concepts into client-ready insights and drive proof-of-concept engagements with cross-functional teams.

Travel approximately one week per month to North American offices and client sites, while influencing the product roadmap and working with leadership to deliver advanced ML-enhanced pricing capabilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of P&C/general insurance pricing experience as pricing actuary or equivalent.
• Experience recommending and filing rates, developing rate indications, applying adjustments, and updating rating variables.
• Familiarity with actuarial ratemaking and rate deployment in insurance pricing.
• Ability to translate business imperatives into software-driven solutions.
• Willingness to travel approximately one week per month and communicate with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead proof of concepts and clearly communicate actuarial concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Translate client requirements into Akur8 platform functionality and product enhancements.
• Present ratemaking analyses and recommendations to stakeholders with varying expertise.
• Collaborate across Sales, Product, R&D, Marketing, Engineering, and Leadership to drive pricing solutions.
