Job summary

WSP USA seeks a LiDAR Technician III Project Coordinator/QA/QC to support our Mobile LiDAR and Geospatial/Surveying practice. This role can be based in Boston, MA or other listed US offices and offers growth within a team that values technical excellence and work-life balance.

You will set up projects, perform QA/QC, mentor staff, and prepare final deliverables while upholding WSP standards and safety policies. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Surveying or related field is required with relevant certifications.
• Minimum several years of Mobile LiDAR experience and QA/QC familiarity.
• Strong understanding of surveying mathematics and field operations.
• Experience with LiDAR data classification and feature extraction preferred.
• Proficiency in Bentley software and common office tools.
• Effective communication and teamwork in a multi-disciplinary group.

Responsibilities

• Set up projects and create seed files and libraries with the processing team.
• Perform QA/QC on extraction work and ensure data quality to standard.
• Coordinate with project managers to optimize workflows and efficiency.
• Mentor and train junior extractors as the department grows.
• Prepare final deliverables and client-ready reports.
• Maintain SOP documentation and stay current with software updates.
• Participate in R&D of new workflows and tools for efficiency.
• Lead LiDAR registration and extraction activities in collaboration with the team.
• Review Mobile LiDAR control data including GPS, VRS, and reports.
• Assist with client communications to meet scope requirements.
