Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque seeks an experienced Licensing Professional to support licensing of Intellectual Property, focusing on achieving a return on investment for Sandia technologies.

You will negotiate licensing agreements, identify strategies for technology development, drive commercialization revenue targets, and guide customers and sponsors with technical and business insights while managing ongoing relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering STEM related field
• Relevant graduate degree in a STEM, or legal field
• Three years relevant experience in licensing advanced technologies (patents and software) and negotiating contracts with multiple parties
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE L Security Clearance

Responsibilities

• Negotiate licensing agreements and anticipate, understand, and react to potential and current sponsor or customer needs
• Identify, develop, and implement both near-term and long-term strategies for development of technologies, services, follow-on programs, or industries
• Achieve commercialization revenue targets
• Provide technical, scientific and business guidance to customers, sponsors, and staff/management responding to technology commercialization related questions, issues, and problems
• Manage on-going customer and sponsor relationships for Sandia for mission benefit
• Identify potential licensees and conduct sales calls
