Job summary

Horrocks is seeking a Professional Land Surveyor to join our growing survey group in Albuquerque, NM. The role requires experience in land development and transportation projects, with emphasis on boundary retracement, data collection, and stake-out using design plans.

Applicants should hold a State Professional Land Surveyor license (or be able to obtain within 1 year) and be proficient with Civil 3D, Trimble, and MS Office. Competitive pay and extensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Property ownership research and boundary law knowledge
• Prepare boundary surveys and ALTA/NSPS surveys
• Staking of roads and rights-of-way
• Ability to learn and develop new skills
• License as a State Professional Land Surveyor (or ability to obtain within 1 year)

Responsibilities

• Apply field techniques for boundary retracement and construction surveying
• Manage multiple projects and staff
• Retrace and create property boundaries for roads and utility rights-of-way
• Collect survey data from maps, plans and documents
• Stake projects for construction using design plans
• Contribute to team goals and complete related tasks
