Horrocks is seeking a Survey Crew Chief in Pleasant Grove, UT. You will lead field crews on transportation, municipal, and land development projects, using Trimble gear and CAD tools to produce accurate survey data for design and construction teams.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of progressively responsible surveying experience, leading field crews.
• 5+ years as Survey Crew Chief or equivalent leadership role.
• Ability to plan daily field operations and mentor staff.
• Experience with topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and boundary surveys.
• Willingness to work in the field with some office tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate conventional survey equipment and GPS; collect data and place construction control.
• Perform boundary retracement, design support, and topographic mapping.
• Maintain accurate field notes and transfer data to office.
• Lead daily field operations; assign work and ensure quality deliverables.
• Coordinate with PMs, clients, and on-site reps to ensure satisfaction.
• Identify construction challenges and report to office team.
