As a Senior Survey/ROW Technician, you will have the opportunity to be involved in large, multi-discipline projects while developing diverse skill sets.

Department: Transportation

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Compensation: $30.00 - $45.00 / hour

Core Responsibilities:

• Competent in using conventional survey equipment and GPS systems for data collection and construction control placement.
• Well-versed in boundary retracement, design support, and construction surveying techniques.
• Responsible for clear, accurate field notes.
• Complete daily topographic, boundary, and control surveys for design and construction.
• Communicate with client’s on-site representatives to ensure satisfaction and relay needs to office support.
• Report construction difficulties to the office team.
• Analyze survey maps and locate monumentation for property line retracement.
• Ensure accurate transfer of field data to the office team.

Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:

• Willingness to work primarily in the field, with the ability to handle office tasks.
• Experience in various survey types, including topographic, transportation, ALTA/NSPS, boundary, subdivisions, and data management. Exposure to control surveys is a plus.
• Proficiency with Trimble equipment; lidar scanning experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, MS Office; OPUS and point cloud experience are advantages.
• Experience with linework codes in Topo Surveys.
• Knowledge of OSHA and local safety standards.
