Job summary

345 DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION is seeking a Professional Land Surveyor I-II to perform and supervise advanced surveying tasks, including geodetic surveys and ALTA/ACSM work. You will bear responsibility for survey decisions and lead survey crews on highways and urban projects.

Position requires Oklahoma registration and, for Level II, two years of post-registration surveying experience. The role includes regular fieldwork and supervision of staff across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Land Surveyor with the Oklahoma State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
• For Level II, two years of land surveying experience after registration.

Responsibilities

• Perform and supervise a variety of advanced professional tasks in land surveying and geodetic surveying.
• Conduct ALTA/ACSM surveys and dependent or independent surveys of public land systems.
• Bear liability for professional survey decisions and supervise one or more survey crews.
• Establish control monuments and re-establish boundaries for rights-of-way and urban projects.
• Train subordinate employees.
