Job summary

Cuhaci Peterson Architects, Engineers & Planners, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ, seeks a licensed Fire Protection or Mechanical Engineering professional with a BS and at least six years of experience to lead design tasks and ensure code-compliant systems.

You will perform engineering calculations, develop layouts, mentor designers, and manage schedules and budgets while communicating with clients. Proficiency in REVIT and modeling tools is required to deliver quality construction documents on time.

Qualifications

• BS in Fire Protection or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of work experience.
• Professional licensure in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations and layout/design of systems per codes and standards.
• Apply practical knowledge to resolve project issues with minimal supervision.
• Supervise junior staff or assist other engineers/designers.
• Meet with Project Engineer/Manager to discuss scope, schedule and budget.
• Prepare design budgets and schedules and assign tasks to designers.
• Estimate discipline man-hours and ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.
• Provide complete construction documents and review final designs with disciplines.
• Client contact and QA coordination with technical leads.
