Job summary

Cuhaci & Peterson Architects, Engineers & Planners, Inc. in Phoenix seeks a licensed Fire Protection or Mechanical Engineer with at least six years of experience to join our CA department.

You will perform engineering calculations, design systems, supervise designers, mentor staff, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure designs meet codes and client requirements. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection or Mechanical Engineering as minimum requirement.
• 6+ years of work experience and US professional licensure.
• Experience with design, code compliance, and project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations and design systems per policies, standards, and codes with minimal supervision.
• Lead design budgets and schedules, and estimate man-hours for projects.
• Mentor and supervise design staff to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Coordinate with Project Engineer/Manager on scope, schedule, and client needs.
• Review and finalize engineering drawings for coordination with other disciplines.
