Job summary

FreightTAS is seeking an experienced Licensed Customs Broker to manage customs entries from start to finish, provide regulatory guidance, and support the import team. The candidate may serve as the Corporate Customs Broker License Holder and will work hands-on with complex import transactions.

Ideal candidates have extensive CBP knowledge, can independently process entries, resolve regulatory issues, and are prepared to train others.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Customs Broker License
• Five+ years hands-on customs brokerage or import-compliance experience
• Strong regulatory knowledge of CBP rules and 19 CFR
• Experience processing air and ocean imports
• Ability to guide and mentor newer staff

Responsibilities

• Personally prepare, review, transmit, and monitor entries from start to finish
• Process air and ocean imports and border-crossing shipments
• Review invoices, packing lists, bills of lading and other entry documents
• Enter and validate data in Descartes or other systems
• Prepare ISF submissions and entry summaries
• Monitor entry status and respond to CBP requests and holds
• Perform post-entry corrections and maintain electronic files
