Job summary

JAS Forwarding USA is seeking a Customs Brokerage Manager to oversee import broker processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead a team of entry staff in a fast-paced environment.

You will manage interactions with CBP, ISF, and other agencies, train staff, and support customers on classifications, valuations, and post-entry work while coordinating with dispatch to optimize freight movements and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Customs Broker.
• Five years’ experience in the logistics or forwarding industry.
• A minimum of three years working in a supervisory role.
• A minimum of four years’ experience working in customs brokerage and understanding customs regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee import customs house broker processes and ensure compliance with laws and procedures.
• Coordinate all transactions with CBP, ISF, CFS and other agencies.
• Educate staff on compliance requirements and assist customers with import needs.
• Guide customers on classification, valuation, and post-entry work.
• Supervise entry writers and import personnel; ensure performance and reviews.
• Partner with dispatch to manage day-to-day freight movement and maintain customer satisfaction.
