Job summary

City of Anna, Texas invites applications for the Library Services Manager to lead the City of Anna Community Library. This role oversees staff, policy creation, service delivery, and facility maintenance, reporting to the Director of Community Services.

The Manager will plan, implement, and evaluate library programs, manage budgets, coordinate with other city divisions and external agencies, and supervise vendors and contractors to ensure quality service for residents.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in library and information science preferred (ALA-accredited).
• Five years of library experience with at least three in administrative/supervisory roles.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Valid Class C driver's license.
• Pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check and MVR required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and oversee library operations and programs.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for the library division.
• Oversee annual budget planning and monitor expenditures.
• Coordinate with other city divisions and outside agencies.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors and consultants.
• Ensure compliance with City personnel rules and regulations.
