Job summary

The City of Anna is seeking a Library Services Manager to oversee the Anna Community Library, directing operations, staff, and service delivery. This role develops policies, manages budgets, and coordinates with city divisions and external partners to improve library programs for all ages.

Requires a MLS (ALA-accredited) and at least five years of progressive library leadership, including supervisory experience. Fluency in English and Spanish preferred; CPR/First Aid is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in library and information science preferred.
• Five years of increasing responsible professional library experience, including three years of administrative and supervisory responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff, assign work, conduct performance evaluations and training; enforce policies and procedures.
• Develop and implement goals, policies and priorities for library programs and services.
• Plan and manage materials selection and budget for the library collection.
• Coordinate with other divisions and outside agencies; manage contracts with vendors and consultants.
• Ensure safe, efficient facility operations and compliance with city rules.
