Job summary

Boise State University’s Albertsons Library Acquisitions and Collections Department seeks an experienced librarian to perform specialized library work, including interlibrary loan, advanced research, and cataloging, in a fast-paced academic setting.

The role involves supervising student staff, leading ILL operations, managing budgets, and developing LibGuides to support patrons and teaching staff. This is a full-time on-site position at Boise, Idaho.

Qualifications

• Experience in two or more library areas (search strategies, cataloging, acquisitions).
• Experience coordinating, planning and organizing library activities.
• Ability to use computer applications and train others in library practices.
• Ability to compile, analyze information, and write procedures in a library setting.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute complex, multi-tiered search strategies across databases and catalogs.
• Provide advanced patron and reference support for interlibrary loan requests.
• Develop and refine search queries, manage budgets, vendors, and acquisitions.
• Supervise student staff and oversee payroll budgets and workflows.
• Lead ILL borrowing operations and back up lending and document delivery.
• Create and maintain LibGuides and disseminate monthly performance metrics.
