Job summary

Pueblo City-County Library District in Colorado is hiring for a Librarian/Assistant Branch Manager at our Lucero Library. The position reports to the Branch Manager and supports daily operations.

You will lead customer service, coordinate programs for youth and adults, build community partnerships, and supervise staff in the absence of the Branch Manager. A Master’s in Library Science is required, with at least one year library experience; strong communication and leadership skills are

Qualifications

• Knowledge of books and collection development; strong program presentation skills.
• Ability to develop and present children's story times and programs.
• Strong communication, research, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in locating materials and expanding library resource awareness.
• Present story times and coordinate outreach to schools and daycares.
• Develop partnerships with community organizations and businesses.
• Serve as PIC and support daily branch operations including staffing coverage.
• Create bibliographies and prepare program reports.
