Job summary

HIA Legal in Dallas seeks a mid- to senior-level associate to join its leveraged finance group. The role involves leading complex financings from due diligence through closing with significant deal management responsibility and direct client interaction.

The ideal candidate will have a JD from a US law school, eligibility to practice in Texas, and 3–8 years of leveraged finance experience at a peer law firm. Familiarity with cross-border transactions is a plus.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited US law school with strong academic credentials.
• Eligibility to practice law in the State of Texas.
• Preferred class years 2018–2023.

Responsibilities

• Lead leveraged finance deals from due diligence through closing.
• Handle complex domestic and cross-border financing transactions.
• Manage deal teams and interact directly with clients.
• Structure first lien, unitranche, second lien, mezzanine, and subordinated loans.
• Oversee asset-based lending and middle-market financings.
